The Indy Racing League IndyCar Series enters its 10th season of competition in 2005. The premier open-wheel racing circuit in North America, the IndyCar Series remains centered around the Indianapolis 500, the largest single-day sporting event in the world.
The IndyCar Series has set new standards for close competition with the world's best drivers engaged in fierce on-track battles every weekend at speeds well over 200 mph.
The IndyCar Series features 17 races in 14 states and Japan. Primarily competing on oval tracks, IndyCar Series cars will visit three street/road courses for the first time in 2005.
